The MS Society has a fantastic fundraiser.
The MS Climb is about an amazing group of people who have come together to climb 4 days along the Inca Trail to the ancient city of Machu Picchu in central Peru. In order to participate to the 4-day challenge, each participant must raise a minimum of $7,500.00.
The challenge will be both physical and mental, but this is truly a once in a lifetime adventure opportunity all in support of MS research and families living with MS.
The Mission of MS Climb is to elevate the support of MS research, and individuals and families living with MS. The Vision of MS Climb is to lead the way towards a new horizon for how Multiple Sclerosis is perceived in society, by forging a new vision of what it means to have MS.
It started as one man’s dream to raise $1 million dollars to support the MS Society and it turned into a 5 years adventure trekking program around the world.
In 2009 they will have 4 trips, 2 destinations – Machu Picchu and Mt. Kilimanjaro.
They are hosting a thank you party for all their sponsors on Friday night Nov. 7 at 7pm at the Spoke Club in downtown Toronto.
If you are interested in registering for 2009, this will be the perfect occasion. Or come simply to show your support. (free entrance to private club, free food, cash bar and great music).
They will be showcasing the Machu Picchu 2008 Video, highlighting the itinerary of the trips for 2009, acknowledging the top fundraisers of 2008 and introducing their new MS Climb spoke person.
Come and celebrate with us! We hope you can make it!
Please RSVP to Léah Cournoyer at www.msclimb2009.com.
